Most bathroom tissue today is made of 100% tree pulp. Whether it comes from trees that are grown on managed tree farms or clear cut, bamboo is the most efficient choice of cellulose for bathroom tissue because:
- Bamboo is the fastest growing grass and grows up to a yard per day
- Bamboo reaches maturity quickly and is ready for harvesting in 2-4 years
- Bamboo requires no insecticides, pesticides, or irrigation.
- Bamboo doesn’t require replanting
- The renewability of bamboo doesn’t necessitate its recycling, therefore using bamboo bathroom tissue has the potential to lower BPA contamination in ground water (BPA or bisphenol- A has been found in high levels in bathroom tissue with recycled content)
Our mission is to provide a new option for a widespread consumer product that, through its use, trees and water are saved. We do this by drawing on the benefits of the regenerative and sustainable plant for our alternative nonwoven fiber: bamboo.
