Green Parents' List seeks nominations of CPSIA-Compliant Products


OTTAWA, CANADA - 21 July 2009 - Green Parents' List Inc. (www.greenparentslist.com) is accepting nominations of dynamic and exciting, CPSIA-Compliant children's products to receive a free product listing and license to use the Green Parents' List Check Mark. The nomination period is open from July 21 until August 7, 2009. Of the submissions, Green Parents' List will select 10 products based on kid-appeal, parent-appeal and innovation to receive the Green Parents' List Check Mark.


Green Parents' List works with companies to provide consumers with access to a list of products checked against the restricted materials requirements of the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA.) Each product appearing on the Green Parents' List web site, and bearing the Green Parents' List Check Mark has been verified for CPSIA restricted substance compliance by parents who have scientific backgrounds. The Green Parents' List Check Mark provides consumers with a quickly identifiable reference that the manufacturer of this product has performed their due diligence. By providing independent verification, Green Parents' List offers concerned parents and responsible sellers of children's products the opportunity to connect.


The top 10 products selected from the nominees will receive:

  • Free listing of their product on the Green Parents' List website that includes direct links to online vendors of the product.
  • License to use the the Green Parents' List Check Mark on their product, product packaging, promotional material and website.


The contest is open to all manufacturers, importers and distributors of CPSIA-compliant children's products. To nominate a product for a free listing on Green Parents' List, please submit an e-mail with:

  • Contact information and "relationship" to the product (i.e. manufacturer, importer, distributor, etc.)
  • The name of the producer of the product being nominated
  • The name of the product
  • A description of the product (200 words, max)
  • A summary of the product's kid-appeal, parent-appeal and innovation
  • Up to 3 photos of your product and/or its application
to topten@greenparentslist.com on or before August 7, 2009. Submitters of winning nominations will be contacted for follow-up information by August 14, 2009.
